She was a very talented artist. I never knew her ethnic background. Good for her for having crossed over all the barriers and her support of the LGBTQ community. She was certainly one of a kind.

I’ve never seen any pictures of her when she was young! She was stunning
Now there’s a class act! No pretensions, here’s the facts, like em or don’t, but that’s who she was. RIP Dolly!
Carol Channing was - and will always be-- a natural treasure. RIP sweet lady!
I actually met and spoke with her years ago during a benefit at Sonoma State University, where I was a Theatre Arts major at the time. Imagine everything you think she would be in person...then multiply it by 100. The sweetest, most infectious personality, and the best laugh. Absolutely lovely woman, and a champion…
Wow, who knew. I learned the creator of Krazy Kat comic strip George Herriman was black but kept a hat on all the time to cover his hair which would have gave him away.
I genuinely didn’t know she had any mixed heritage. Posted y’all’s obit in light of the others because I genuinely learned something aside from her being the Broadway star I was already familiar with.
Agreed, she seemed to be crazy, happy, and progressive far beyond her years all in the same breath.
She had black heritage, proudly accepted it and talked about it (though I admit I didn’t know about it, not that I knew much about her), embraced it without trying to pass for black or claiming to be ‘black’.
I don’t have a cross word to say about his woman. She was that kooky lady with a wide smile and infectious energy.
From what I’ve read, many are opposed to the “feminization” of society. Anything other than brusque (and toxic) masculinity frightens them. IMHO it’s the classic dichotomy of man vs woman, good vs evil. They might not specifically say it but I think they view women negatively, most of the time, unless women are doing…
They think they’re getting called out.
Actually is anyone up for a parody comic of men being fragile starring Societal Norm? I’d do it, but I suck at art
That, and that fact that anyone would even MENTION them as a group instead of as the societal norm.
Let me guess, they also feel the need to say they don’t abuse women and are Nice Guys(TM).
My friend posted it to her feminist meme page and there’s been a huge influx of angry dudes screaming they’re boycotting Gillette now.
I’ve been diving deep into discussions about this ad on my social media lately and men still can’t tell me why they are specifically upset about this commercial. It just gets sidetracked about politics, religion, etc.
I have never felt so defensive of weed in my life. This ... thing ... is not cannabis’ fault.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHSSSSSS MOOOOORRREEEEE....
During this debacle I followed some of the attendees to track the mess in real time because I love a slomo trainwreck, this included following some sort of trustafarian named kt_magee (0n instagram), who was posting about her experience. This ended up being the gift that kept on giving, because long after Fyre Fest out…
