I like 2002 BMW’s, but also own a third generation Camaro (‘88 IROC-Z)...and I can tell you that if a 1600 or 2002 BMW is out cornering a late third generation Camaro, either the Camaro has bad tires, or a bad driver. Skid pad testing of those old Camaros generally ran from .87-.91, depending on who did the

Depends on your definition of “positive, or lukewarm”.

I’d just like to find decent LED’s for those of us with older sealed beams, and haven’t really seen anything that I don’t worry is blinding everyone else.

My job takes me pretty frequently to border crossings.  I’ve seen a bunch of these on the Southern border labeled as Chevrolet Tornado.

I was in my 20’s during the Gulf War...most news in the run up to the actual war was to expect another Vietnam, and that we could expect anywhere from 20,000 to 100,000 US deaths.  We were being told that Iraq’s Republican Guards were an elite fighting force, and expect at best a stalemate.

Same here, but our family car back in those days was a ‘67 SS/RS Camaro, and dad being a hot rodder , was anything but stock.

The automotive press didn’t exactly do the Volt any favors, though...

So, GM debuts a new battery technology, and your criticism is that the “skateboard” construction was suggested by them 20 years ago, therefore, they’re behind the times?

A few years ago, I looked seriously at one of these....It was a manual, and in nearly perfect condition, and I still somewhat regret not having pulled the trigger.

The problem I have with Ford’s strategy is that by abandoning the passenger car market in favor of SUV’s, or crossovers, Ford is putting themselves in a precarious position if and when fuel prices rise appreciably.

I agree. A few years back I was looking for a C4 Corvette. A local Craigslist ad showed one less than 15 minutes away that had EVERYTHING I was looking for, even the color...but his “I won’t even pull it out of the garage unless you have the cash in your pocket” told me everything I needed to know.

I’m sort of on the fence with this one.

I’d only agree with your statement that the use of the atom bomb was terrible.

Tell them it’s pronounced “Merkin”.  You’ll find out very quickly which of your friends have a large vocabulary, and a twisted sense of humor.

If you watch the slow motion replay of the second hit, you can actually see the entire structure of the car bend outward.  It was a horrible hit.

Plausible deniability....”no, officer, I didn’t see your lights behind me”.

Be happy they haven’t tried to put a CVT in their trucks...they’ve managed to screw up everything else with them....

Maybe. I made that mistake once, back in the early ‘80’s.

Yes, but it’s a Chrysler....that warranty would probably be more useful than you’d really like.

Drove my ‘64 Galaxie 500XL from Asheville, North Carolina to Groton, Connecticut and home again back in the ‘90’s....after all, it was only a 30 year old car.
