Because we need even more Jedi to have been alive during the OT, when Yoda told Luke he was the only one left?

“since both of them bathed in the Living Waters and had kept their helmets on ever since, Bo-Katan has been embracing Din’s community and their more hardcore religious doctrine”

I didn’t call you naive, I said the assumption that Lindelof straightforwardly meant every word he said was naive. There’s a difference, and you’re the the one who made things personal, not me. Maybe your “cognitive bias” is to reply with overwhelming snark and call randos “sport”?

Har har, but they write as though they should be calling the shots all the time:

They pretty much already did, with TFA. Turned out to not be such a great plan.

“So let’s be a bit honest here.”

And still, not the merest whisper of a notion that it might be time to consider a change of leadership will be tolerated by the Newswire staff.

I don’t think the general public is aware that the DCEU (a term they probably don’t know) is being rebooted into the DCU, so I doubt that was the main problem. But, as someone who hasn’t seen either movie, I can’t help but think this movie should have been a buddy flick between Shazam and Superman, especially given

Even before vaccines, roughly half of infected people felt no symptoms, so unless you've had an antibody test, you have no idea if you've been infected.

Wasn’t that The Shape of Water?

Lucasfilm: We’re going to make a Rogue Squadron movie. Y’know, it’ll be like Top Gun, but in Star Wars.

It was very bad, boring, and dull, in ways that had nothing to do with the limited budget. They had a fun, scenery-chewing Lex Luthor, who could have used magic powers to pit the heroes against each other. Instead, Lex stole magic powers... to make himself one of the heroes. Talk about a failure of imagination.

Democracy’s adversaries today are not as strong as the Third Reich or Soviet Union, let alone stronger.

The AV Club: “Cancel Culture doesn’t exist."

Screenwriter: “I’m really proud of what I wrote for Kang.”

It’s a kinda dull movie in which Buzz isn’t very likable, and takes place on a measly one dark, drab planet. It’s not terrible, but it’s not good, nor is it fun.

“I know people who quietly love this movie and talk about it. That’s still a movie cult”

It’s a cool, albeit silly idea, but it’s also utterly at odds with the rest of the movie’s tone and themes. I’d be interested in seeing a more lighthearted movie try it.

Words have meanings, and so there comes a point where misusing a word robs it of all meaning. What “cult” is there for this movie? Is there a single piece of evidence for Lee’s assertion? Anything that compares with the much-documented evidence of fandom for the other movies I mentioned?

Rocky Horror, The Big Lebowski, and The Room are cult films. Hulk is a nearly forgotten movie a person or two will sometimes say mildly nice things about on their podcast.
