This deepfake of Leia in Rogue One is legit amazing, and better than ILM’s animation (albeit building off their work):

The problem isn’t historical. It’s going on now.
2007 called... it wants its generic quip back.
You want perspective from a review? Whaddya think this is, the old-school AV Club?
This series sounds as pointless in artistic terms as a manned mission to Mars would be in scientific ones. Given sufficient expenditure and innovation, could we land a few humans on the planet for a while, and even bring them back? Possibly, yeah. Would we learn anywhere near enough to justify the expense and risk?…
So... there was an actual monster in Ghostbusters all along?
Looks as though the only people to have seen it so far are critics, who aren’t going to spell everything out. That’ll change in due time...
They could’ve at least Westworld-ed it and made it a future themed resort for awful whites in a dystopian future. Monae could be a recently un-cryo-frozen trauma patient or something.
“bad twist we’ve all seen before” + “one may think of M. Night Shyamalan”
BWAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMM
Absolutely, some ribbing is in order. But not the “hur hur, the joke is this thing that exists doesn’t, because I don’t like it and it shouldn’t” kind.
Maybe I’m a weirdo contrarian, but I kinda think it works on her - she always gives off that Stepford/Uncanny Valley fembot vibe, and this at least looks like something a gynoid in a crappy foreign 1960s sci-fi flick might wear. As an admission of her core fakeness, I give it a solid B+.
This also seems to be the first time AVC has written about it, so... yeah.
You already can! It came out a few years ago, and was called Suicide Squad.
Sure it was. It wasn’t the only problem, obviously, but it was the rotten foundation the movie was built on. I doubt anyone could have made it work.
... Jared? Is that you? Don’t you have still have thousands of postal workers to fire by November?
Will it explain why this island of warrior women failed to send a single one of them to protect their only princess when she made her first trip to Man’s World in the middle of a war?
In my day, you only got to stream stuff once, at a particular time of day, and with commercials, censorship, and in pan&scan!
