If your soapbox is so narrow as to miss everything. Yea. The movie itself addresses RDJ’s role. If you miss this it makes me think you haven’t seen the movie and just only walked by the poster.

The Oscar is a moot point. The point of the sharp comedy of the role was to hilariously mock method actors. And it did so very well.
