Nah, that situation comes up a LOT in both of them.

You can sort of keep dreaming. Right now, there balls are tied to the WoW subscription count like a cinderblock and maybe how much money they make off they D2 remaster. We have no clue how much this will truly effect Diablo4.

No. It starts with Kotick resigning. I keep saying, replacing the executive is easy. Changing policy is harder and takes time. And once policy changes, it starts filtering down and the frat boy culture starts actually changing by either kicking people to the curb or forcing people to behave, and that takes even longer.

The 1999 Mummy was something that filmed itself seriously and let the material handle itself instead of trying to insert jokes like an actual piece of comedy writing.  The characters’ personalities just carried it.

I see the day ended in ‘Y’ in Texas...

I want to add this as part of my response to Kirk. I found it’s twitter thread after an easy google last night, and just pulling it out of my history. About a hundred tweets down somebody made this out of it. But pretty much every sport has an analogy whether they call it the twisties or the yips.

It’s almost like if society saddles a generation with massive debt, two economic crises in a decade, while also showing how little the society cares about children or care-giving, people make choices accordingly.

Kirk doesn’t love America.

SECTION 6. Clause 1. The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the

Ooo...that picture nails some people to the wall.

That ask is fairly standard. Gender and ethnicity, and depending on what other things they may ask, are not exactly personal private information that can reveal a person’s name to the world unless you start matching it up with A LOT of other pieces of information that are a lot more exact in nature.

You can post a salary range for a position and rank. Most large-ish corporations then have sub-ranks as you work it over some years that you may work through before you are either promoted or you outright apply to and move to another rank/position. Or apply to and move to another company. As you are promoted from

To a strange extent, possibly. This is how places that aren’t unionized make themselves heard pretty much if they don’t have another outright legal means. And it’s happening all over the service industry right now.

Changing CEO is easy. They have to actually change policy. As in change HR. You have to realize that as a sheer industry video games are only 40 years old. That’s really not that old. That’s why Blizzard, as a company starting in the 90's is only about to start pushing their 30's. They’re young. They still don’t know

Now playing

Trump is about at least a year too late.  The difference is that Dave Chappelle was rather amusing and ended on a “..or...you could shut the fuck up about this!” take.

Depends on the job combined with the cost of living of the location. But more, I’m doing sub-contracting for a corporation as big or bigger than Blizzard or Ubisoft or other gaming corporations that are having these...uhh...issues...

Those flowery descriptions, it turns out, will be awesome resources...

You have less to worry about than you think. If there’s anything that a tv show might help, and I’m being semi-serious here, it’s paring Robert Jordan’s over-descriptive writing down to two seconds of screen time without having to actually add or remove any material.

Damn. As much as I wanted to get into game programming I avoided this industry because 90% of the companies could never plan their projects around a 40-50 hour workweek. Turns out that was never even in the top five problems with these places.

Well, back then Blizzard also didn’t start their hype trains until they had something to hype as well...
