It’s over, isn’t it?
It’s over, isn’t it?
I think it was weaker for the same reason the big snap was also not as effective: meta knowledge. We know Captain Marvel comes out before Avengers 4, so it feels maybe a bit cheaper here. It’s not like Barbosa stepping out of the shadows in Dead Man’s Chest for this reason, it’s more like Batman V Superman’s ending…
I don’t know. I thought the teaser for Carol wasn’t all that different from the previous stingers. If anything, it felt a bit weaker, as the non-comic fans in the audience at my showing pretty much just went, “who?” and then moved on.
To me, the thing that Westworld explores that none of those movies (well, other than Short Circuit and Chopping Mall, which I haven’t seen) did is consciousness itself. Things like Blade Runner and A.I. tend to explore what it means to be human by way of feeling emotions. If a robot looks like us, can feel like us,…
If it’s felt like something has been missing from Kotaku for the last month, that’s because someone wonderful has…
Is she taking the main role in the film? It looked like she would be taking the main role on the team, but the film is mostly about how her husband dealt with it.
Elastic Girl taking the main role in the film. I am sure this won’t illicit a terrible response from anybody!
Reminds me of a Michelle Wolf bit on the Daily Show. It was about Wonder Woman and it was something like “Women won’t have made it in Hollywood by making one great movie. Women will have made it in Hollywood when they’ve released 5 terrible movies and get hired to make another.”
I kind of half jokingly have started saying that when we begin seeing more diversified writers and directors, then we’ll start to learn also that people of ALL races, sexes and creeds can write/direct mediocre to bad movies. XD
(I have no point, BTW. Just wanted to post this picture.)
I can’t apologize for the fanbase in general, but we’ve been starved for actual content so long we’re now basically Ramsey Bolton’s dogs.
only seen a few episodes of the first season
SHIELD exists in the post-Winter Soldier MCU much in the same way that the Republic exists in the new Star Wars movies, which is to say, not in a form that makes any significant difference to the heroes.
YOU MONSTER
Or rather apt, considering the current political climate?
I’ve never really liked Anthony Mackie, but he is probably the better choice for Captain America. Bucky is kind of a weird fit for the embodiment of patriotism seeing as how he was a brainwashed Soviet hitman and all.
Does SHIELD even still exist at this point? I support Tony becoming an AI. It’s a pretty depressing conclusion to his character, but I guess it’s better than being killed. Maybe.
Or how about he gets written off somehow and new characters take his place? We really don’t need Capt. America and Iron Man headlining the MCU forever. I like the idea of Steve getting aged-up and gracefully taking a backseat for future operations.
If we go by the characters, I would prefer Falcon inheriting the shield, instead of Bucky. Story wise, this is the option with the most interesting possibilities. Sam Wilson is a modern military man, in contrast with Barnes who, like Rogers, is a soldier form a past time. This brings a different viewpoint to this Cap.…
I like the beard - but I could do without the hair. Not a good look for Mr. Evans. I feel like he’s about to turn to the screen and start singing a Nickelback song.
