I agree with Ljvb, that one is too many. Try to put yourself in that one person’s shoes. The reality is that there are far more than we know. Our system is not perfect. It is made of human beings and we should not commit actions that cannot be reversed.

absolutely, I would find life imprisonment without possibility of parole to be horrific as well. The only parallel I could draw from my own experience would be for a love one to pass on. The despair is crushing and the quest for release of such hopelessness could easily drive someone to want to end it.

I just saw his interview on Stephen Colbert, the other night. He stated that, he wanted to make right the wrongs he has done in his past. I don’t believe him but how does one do this? How does a person “make right”the damage done to a person when you have preyed upon them?

right, no appeal and being stuck in jail forever would suck but no one is suggesting that. Your hyperbole is not really effective. As long as you are alive, there is hope.
