It’s such a skill to be able to successfully treat the music as another element of storytelling. Ultimately the audience shouldn’t need a particular fondness or familiarity for the style for it to resonate. I’m not that far into the show but from the start they’re hitting it out of the park.

Read it. It was the first Attwood I read and almost certainly remains my favourite. Oryx and Crake et al are also great, but A Handmaid’s Tale packs a massive punch in one relatively short novel.

I read them both. I love Cool Breeze’s reviews. But I like to read as much as I can about the reviews. This is the only show on TV that I get this excited over. So I read his reviews, the original posters reviews and even review from other sites. Because, it just makes it all more interesting and fun for me.

Traditionally, for every person like you and Balthezor who are annoyed by Cool_Breeze’s comments, there have been a dozen or two like myself who look forward to them.
