So a car that goes from 0-60 in 3.0 seconds and a car that goes from 0-60 in 1.2 seconds get the same grade for acceleration?

But that would imply that there’s a theoretical perfect limit., like 0-60 in 0.0 seconds. If it were so, no car could do better than probably a 70 or so, and then what’s the point of a 100 point scale? The scale is implicit to the objects it’s testing, so there’s some sense of meaning.

They could’ve said 98 out of 100, but exceeded the system metric in several areas. But 103 out of 100 is more accurate.
