Ive 4.2 GM on my 3G and it was fairly responsive right after installing it. But it's been getting increasingly slower as time goes by. I think it's a tad faster than 4.1, but it's nothing to brag about. Typing still takes time and patience, and don't even mention doing things with a bluetooth headset paired.
