I'm going to see that 208T later this afternoon. I'll ask the shop owner if I can sit in it. THAT was an entry-level Ferrari.

The TF lost its World Championship status around '73 or so and it was run as a local race until '77 or something and then it was converted into a rally (run with the Group 4 and later Group B cars fot that matter), made part of the Italian Rally Championship. In 2012 it was a round of the Intercontinental Rally

It's one of the most famous ones, but it's not the greatest. I mean I love it, but there are definitely more technical tracks than that that are also public roads.

That's the Targa Florio Classic, it's a different event.

This year the 99th Targa Florio will be held. It's a rally, but it's still the Targa Florio (it even killed a couple of years back). See video above.

Also, The Nürburgring is a public road as well, so it should technically qualify.

The Targa Florio is very much alive, no need for remembrance.

Also, I've just been to the Col de Turini, so I will add that to the list. Here's my account of it:

I'd say the Targa Florio "piccolo" circuit:

I was there last Sunday, and it's appalling how steep this section is. The Casino is on top of Monte Carlo, and the entrance of the tunnel is at the bottom. It is one massive drop and they get from the former site to the latter one in three corners. Blew me away when I saw it in person. I'd have some thoughts about

WRC went to the WR Car regulations back in the day because there was an enormous pressure from manufacturers who wanted to be in it (remember, that was the time when it was the ONLY World Championship next to F1), but didn't want to design and build 4WD road cars from the ground up just to homologate to the Group A

It's the same livery they used with the Vodafone sponsorship for 8 years.

Renault Twingo

I've just been to Monaco and it is mind-boggling how tight it is, especially from the Casino to the entrance of the tunnel. That is a massive drop, they cannot go as fast at that section to make any use of the wings.

Alex Wurz once said an LMP1 car has still more downforce in Le Mans-spec (which is the lowest of all the races) than an F1 car in Monaco-spec (which is their highest of the season)

Yeah, tell me about it.

Will do. Tempted to ditch taking pictures altogether, but I have to show my wife something :D

I wasn't coming in through Deadspin.
