I did the same, dolsh, buying a new 2014 Mazda3 i Grand Touring (6mt, $23,000) and haven’t found a new sedan worth trading up for (Lexus ES, Acura Integra, etc). They’re fine, but I like driving.

a better question is what vehicles are actually affordable these days. The fact that dealers have the audacity to price entry level compact used models at brand new MSRP and brand new vehicles automatically having an extra 5-10k tacked on, are any vehicles not overpriced these days?

Honda Civic. In 2020 you could buy a base one in Canada for $18.5k. In 2023 the cheapest model is $28.7k. Ya I know: more standard equipment, yada yada yada.
