They take driving seriously in most of the rest of the world. In some countries/cities you are literally taking your life in your hands going out on the road. In Germany, they take everything very seriously... and especially driving. BUT, I think that in most countries, because there is risk, there is respect... i.e.

Oh, well, of course the markup isn't based on a pure percentage. You are right though... the profit margins have definitely shrunk on new cars.

Classic American Muscle cars. They can't get enough of them. I recently sent my cousin a complete 68 Mustang Fastback. He apparently had an offer of £20k (~$27k) within minutes of collecting it at the RORO terminal.

I think you mean "when you move *back* to Europe". Or South America, or Asia, or Africa, Australia, or pretty much anywhere other than the United States.

Easy solution. Fix the damned laws.

That's fine. It is the price you pay for wanting to drive faster. Eventually, the wheat would separate from the chaff and you'd probably find that R and S class drivers had lower accident rates and lower infraction rates.

How long did it take before someone noticed?

When I drive fun cars that make me happy, that is not the look on my face. Imagine a cross between an O-face, trot-face and angry-face... sort of like one of those Chinese dragons, or a Japanese Noh mask...

Yes.

Sounds good.

My hero!

I think you mean half-wheel-drive. The "anti-slip" helical-gear open differentials just send power to the wheels with least traction.

The rear clutches for my Grand Cherokee D35 were like $90 the last time I did them...

You think that is exciting? Take an RS4 RTR and put 18"s on the front with 19"s on the rear, then try to keep it in a straight line. Drifting isn't lame. It's just not that hard.

License plate sits in the wrong place.

Second generation (1992–1995) Ford Taurus.

Looks a lot like my first car. Same color and wheels even. I bought a '68 912 for $2500 from a neighbor, cleaned it and got it running. 6 months later, a guy came up to me with $6500 in cash and asked if he could buy it. So I sold it. Never got to drive it legally... I was 15 at the time.
