I noticed at my local Costco (East Peoria, IL) yesterday that they have base Xbox One consoles at $299.97. I’m not sure if that is nationwide. Since the price ends in a .97, that usually means clearance. I don’t remember if it included the Kinect, but I don’t think it did.

I know Lambeau Field doesn’t get the same usage as Heinz Field but the playing surface their seems much better than other Northern cities. It seems like other stadiums like Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Washington could try to emulate Lambeau.

I hate that they pop up the number of points a player has on Draft Kings on Red Zone. They use the same sound effect for that as when there is an injury update so I always look.

That could work. Why do they have a restart zone? Wouldn’t having a restart line be far more simple and fair? The lead cars hit the line and then go.

I love my Volt. GM really dropped the ball on it though. They had a commercial for the Cruze Diesel at a gas station with the “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” theme song from Cheers. That should have been a Volt commercial. This summer, I was at the gas station more often for my lawnmower than my Volt. That should be

Upon learning the modern day portion of the next Assassin’s Creed game will be set in Cleveland, Ezio kills himself. “My descendants shouldn’t have to suffer that much.” (slits own throat)

Red Zone Channel had pop-ups that showed how many points someone had earned on Draftkings. The used the same sound effect on the pop-up that they used for injuries so I always looked.

The XFL wouldn’t have put it out.

He called her a cocksucker. Brian Scott then said “I wish, but we are married now.”

Not as bad as this from trip from Chicago to Istanbul on Lufthansa a couple of years ago. I don’t have the breakout of the taxes anymore.

I usually get the guy who looks at my ID and boarding pass like he is trying to evaluate the authenticity of an original copy of the Constitution. It’s even more absured when it’s my home airport and the guy most likely has that same driver’s license on his wallet.

The crazy thing is that they never used to do that. I’ve only flown standby twice in my life and both times the airlines were happy to move me up. The last time was over 5 years ago. It seems like it creates more flexibility in the schedule later if they have some cancelled flights and need to get people on other

Flying internationally the taxes and fees can be really ridiculous. Sadly I no longer have the breakdown but here is my ticket info from trip two years ago from Chicago to Istanbul and back on Lufthansa.

The only thing worse than a MD-80 is a CRJ-200. The last time I flew, one of the segments was on a MD-80. It had been probably 10 years since I last flew on one. I quickly remembered why I hated them. It was noisy and it felt so much more cramped than the 757 and A320 on the other segments.

They needed to make the car look more aggressive. I think the G8 is a much better looking car. I’ve only seen one SS on the road ever and that was a couple of months ago. In that same time, I’ve seen a Vehicross and TWO Murano convertibles.

Chiefs at Packers: What is the over/under on how many times we hear about Alex Smith being drafted #1 and Rodgers being drafted #24 and related stories about that?

The checked bag fees were implemented when oil was $140 per barrel because the airlines said they said the needed the money to cover the fuel costs due to the extra weight of checked bags. Now that oil is about $100 less per barrel, the fees should go away. When oil goes back up, they can charge again.

Charging by weight is the fairest way to do it. The more weight, the more fuel is used. A 300 lb guy with no bags requires the same amount of fuel as a 200 lb guy with two 50 lb bags. It will never happen. If the airlines thought they could get away with it, they would though.

I don’t mind fees to pick seats with extra room, like exit row seats. At least you are getting something extra. Having to pay a fee to pick an ordinary aisle seat in row 30+ is criminal though.

Airline pricing is messed up. I paid about $550 a couple of years ago to fly from Chicago to Istanbul, connecting in Zurich. I’ve paid more for a 2 hour flight to places in the US and Canada.
