Painstakingly recreating hundreds of thousands of art assets based on Blizzard’s designs and including them in an obviously derivative work, based on world of warcraft characters, quests, stories, environments, etc would be difficult enough and still obviously infringing on copyrights held by Blizzard Activision.

Even if they recreate their own version of specific assets, it would still be a 100% derivative work based on characters, stories, designs, images, etc that are wholly owned by Blizzard Activision.
