so many comments that boil down to “women should stand up for themselves, unless it’s against someone we like!” :(

maybe someone will come up with a creative new term for people who choose to be this miserable about it.

there is a weird minority that’s somehow decided “cis het” is bad, and this kind of seems like the kind of commentary that would come from that group, too. thankfully it’s mostly contained at Jezebel, as far as these sites go, but is still a growing thing (like some of the bizarre takes involving race that sometimes

it’s removal from a game (and likely a wise PR move), not a prison sentence.

makes sense; poor fish. as someone else noted, they do always look miserable at the pet store (because they likely are).

i wish i could just keep them alive :( i did the big tank, filter, regular cleaning, feeding, everything, and the bettas i got still died. RIP, little ones.

same thought, re: milk for spicy food. i enjoy some spicy food but i’m ultimately kind of a baby when it comes to that, so i might need the milk/ice cream to save me.

had to rush to the comments after drying my eyes; this episode really got me :’(

to be fair, human or not, it’s still headed somewhere bad; Nate’s definitely expressing things we’re generally meant to keep in check.

ah, my bad then; feel free to disregard my comment :) .

it’s not his proudest moment, but supervillain is a bit extreme. like many of his other actions this season, it’s a normal human response to being dumped on and looked down upon.

i had to watch this for a class in college, i think? and it was one of the best assignments; a wonderful film <3

i’m with him; there are decent dishes featuring tomato slices, but they’re really just gross and slimy on a sandwich.

well, they’re all pretty elaborate (and even toned-down versions would cost some), so i’d suppose someone would either hire someone with the know-how to check that out first, or someone going to these lengths themselves is that someone with the know-how.

which makes it weird that this was a complaint about how “Kate” represented cities in Japan. i didn’t notice any scenery that seemed totally out of place or “engineered”; so silly.

i guess some people will turn their nose up at it, but the Auto-Chips (auto-battle) is totally worth it if you’re more interested in experiencing the story than the combat (in Automata).

in contrast to the other comment... yeah, it can be (costly) pure hell. but often, the art at the end is worth it.

i guess it depends on the airline, but i had some fairly good meals on flights to Japan. i think the last time this came up, people mentioned flights to France? and South Korea having pretty good food too.

snobs are annoying. that’s really it.

it’s less about offense on a personal level, and more about reshaping general perception and/or stigma around suicide:

it seems like the effort put into Ted Lasso reviews is now just aimed at finding anything possible to complain about, just for the sake of it. it’s not just this site, but this site is definitely part of it. i guess Ted Lasso just isn’t cool anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
