Damned if you do and damned if you don't, clearly.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't, clearly.
Right, but that's not the point. No one is doubting that fan input plays a role in certain aspects of the competition. But are we really wanting the competition to transform into who can cultivate the most well behaved fans? Forget the C. U. N. T. stuff, it's about being an artist. Judge the art. The other queens came…
You ignored the entire comment you replied to. Why bother if you're just going to respond with something you made up in your head instead of actually engaging with people?
Totally got the same vibes from Sasha. The whole "I'm different!" thing was so put on, as opposed to actually being genuine. Then always name-dropping in the work room or forcing the conversations to be so self-serious. And I don't understand that whole story about being a bald queen for her mom — like 9 times out of…
Yeah and then she tweeted that the drama on the reunion was just for the cameras. Sure, Jan. Shea kinda revealed herself to be pretty fake.
It's good to see we've scrapped the C. U. N. T. rubric and instead are judging the queens based upon how their fans behave.
Exactly. She was attacked because she didn't approach the competition the way other queens did. When Shea and Sasha are whining about that, that is their issue, not Valentina's.
Honestly, almost all of them besides Valentina and Trinity came off as a total mess. It's such a joke that the queens who wanted it to be RuPaul's Best Friend Race were the ones who were so bitter and joyless. They weren't spilling tea, they were bickering like Real Housewives.
Vulture has good recaps — much more of a lighter and joyful take
Native American is an ethnicity, not a race. You keep calling it a race and that to me says that you claiming it is offensive is just a performance.
Completely! The challenges ask you to exceed at everything, but you need to specialize in something as well to win.
Shadiest Untucked moment - they used a shot of Alexis grabbing a bag of chips for the road before she leaves!
Completely agree with you about Shea, she's amazing and very fashion, but there is that extra component that's missing. Can't put my finger on it, but maybe it's not gay enough? It's very like if you asked a white girl who the fiercest queen would be. I think Sasha would be better in a setting where she didn't have to…
The archery bow in her hair is like a RuPaul runway pun brought to life — in that cheesy way it's actually pretty funny. But like you said, the character she got definitely has much more constraints and limitations on it, and she should get some credit for that. Honestly I probably would have done a Wednesday Addams…
I don't get the C.L.A.T. love, I found it a little cringe-y. That Nicki Minaj Roman-style rapping was a good go-to gimmick for people who aren't actually rappers, but too many queens have already done it at this point.
I like your takes. I think Peppermint is going to be one of those queens who kills it post-Drag Race. She seems a little shy or slow to open up, but when she's on, she shines. The support from fans will probably help make her bolder and then them booking fees will be huge when it comes to elevating her looks.
Almost every time but the bow in her hair was kinda clever.
Meh, I thought it was pedestrian and predictable. She reminds me of an art student in the way that she purposefully tries to do something different instead of it coming naturally. Like, 'you're welcome, I deconstructed the rainbow and turned it on its head!'
Except they weren't dressing up as a "race" (native American is a race? GIRL), they were dressing up as the Village People, an iconic and important group in our gay history. It is what it is and nobody should be going back trying to erase or sanitize that.
LOL stop with the EVERYBODY stuff. There were plenty of people watching season 7 who were excited about Violet winning. She literally inspired a challenge on All Stars and I would argue that she had the best finale look of all time. As for this season, Trinity absolutely has not been uneven. Not only has she been…
