II don’t get this. i’m as big of a Star Wars/Marvel fan as any dork out there, I’ve enjoyed every one of the recent slate of both. If more people casually get into it, GREAT! I hope they make all the money and keep making these movies until I die from popcorn oil induced cardiac arrest.

This, plus distance between places were my thought. If you live out in the sticks it might be kindof a pain in the ass to get decent fresh pie, and the population is so spread out over there. It’s not like you can just stroll around the block; I live in the boonies, and if it wasn’t for a few decent joints in a nearby

Ooh do chain store lattes next. Obviously none are as good as a real coffee house, but a plain latte is my usual go-to these days if I’m not getting food. Off the top of my head, here’s my power ranking:

You know, I never thought about that.  Everybody that knew Peter from 15-24 winds up dead, a super villian, or a dead super villian.  Weird.

Wouldn’t it work to just buy raw pork belly and slice and season it yourself, if you want au natural bacon? I’m pretty sure my Wally World sells raw pork belly, although I’ll have to double check that the next time I’m there.

When were they not a thing? Deviled eggs are one of my favorite party foods. I’ll be eating a half-dozen of them at my mother in law’s house tomorrow.

    nevermind

When I was a security guard for a hospital in the early aughts, we had a Blazer that I loved. Smallish but still roomy, no frills, but that puppy could move and go anywhere. Great little truck.

I still use the Weber kettle, although the big 22 deluxo one (like $165). I smoke something pretty much every other week snow or shine, and the only thing I haven’t been able to get right is brisket. It’s a work in progress. But the chuck roasts almost always turn out amazing; beefy, juicy, tender.  Slap a little

Beat me to it. I find brisket more challenging to work with, but for a Sunday dinner chuck roasts don’t care and at 1/3 the price. They’re the chicken thighs of bbq beef. I’ve made pulled beef, sliced beef, tacos, different spins on sauces; just keep the heat low, give it enough time and some tlc and it’ll be awesome.

Still looks weird, like a Keith Richards before and after rehab photo.  Better, but still not good.

I hope to own a (used) Mustang in a couple years, so this is all good news to me. Saturate the market! In 2023 I’ll be able to pick up an off-lease 2018 model for a couple grand and speed my middle-aged ass off into the sunset.

The Steelers start the season vs. the Pats then the Hawks, so it’ll be fun to start 0-2.  But somehow later in the season it’s Browns-Bengals-Browns, so maybe we’ll make up for it then.

Don’t you continue to get charged if you just leave the stupid thing laying somewhere?  I know that’s how bike-sharing in Pittsburgh works, you pay for time between stations.  If you can just leave the scooter laying wherever and not get charged for it, that seems like a really broken business model.

Enjoy every sandwich, my friends; we’re all just space dust anyway so have fun while it lasts.

This thing is a rolling manifestation of the expression “More money than brains”.

Here in rural PA, it’s 6% (7+7 more for booze in PGH). I liked the idea of the math simplification, but doubling the tax here would be an unforgivably lousy tip. Just move the decimal on the total bill, it’s not that hard.

Fartflower rice is how it’s labeled in my house.

Special K was my crack as a kid.

I always figure those caddys on the rail are fair game, the only part of Salty’s response I disagree with are the cocktail straws in those caddys. I’ll grab one of those if the bartender is busy. But sticking your hands into the garnish buckets is grody, don’t do that :P
