Eh, I’m sure you know sarcasm doesn’t come along well though text alone, over the internet (extrapolated from Poe’s Law) not without some sort of emoticon.

You’re right. So if you buy a steak medium rare, you should totally be fine when it comes back cooked like charcoal.

There was something missing in the title.

Go fuck yourself, Arvaci.

Whiners who expect to receive the goods and services they have paid for, yes.

Not immediately. Contracts.

Drop Verizon for what? AT&T? Not much better if you want consistent service. it’s oligopoly at its finest!

Throttling is harm. Get your lips off Verizon’s dick.

No. Most people don’t have a choice when it comes to their internet provider; those that do have at most one or two other choices, all of which will be throttling. That’s why this is a problem. Capitalism requires competition to function properly.

Presumably not everybody will have the option. I assume that Verizon is similar to Comcast in that there are areas where it’s the only choice you have for an ISP.

If net neutrality is killed every ISP will be doing it, different ones will throttle different websites based on who paid them more, and any new start ups or new companies who don’t have millions to pay will be shit out of luck in general.

American internet is a joke and unfortunately most people are incredibly ignorant on this fact. We get a fraction of the speed of other countries and pay 4or 5 times the price as other countries. With Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon having monopolize in alot of places they don’t have any incentive to upgrade to fiber or to

Those already exist in many cities, counties, and states across the country. ISPs have a stranglehold on the US

This is the future of American internet. Next up, laws prohibiting ISP competition on local networks.

Weird that everyone is saying they can’t hear the jingling when I could hear it just fine, including when what seemed to be a fan or some A/C unit being turned on at high blast. Normally I’d say the woman was insane, but I thought about it, listening to that jingling, at the same time, for an HOUR every night would

You live in Florida, not NYC. You just said the trucks “roll through the neighborhood.” Do they park in front of your house and play a tinny electronic nursery rhyme for an hour to an hour & a half straight? That’s what they do in New York. It’s basically like a cheap alarm clock you can’t turn off for 90 minutes.

The ice cream truck that comes to my neighborhood is appallingly loud and always comes at like 9 PM, which is after my kid’s bedtime, but it wakes her up and then I have to lie to her and tell her it’s a “music truck” so she’ll go back to bed. Plus, the ice cream is garbage.

I know we’re supposed to hate this woman because she’s white and is supposedly living in the wrong neighborhood based on that, but I’d be pissed too if some asshole parked his ice cream truck outside my house and played annoying music every day, and then told me to “fuck off” when I tried to be upfront and work with

Sorry but if that truck was parked outside your house blaring that shitty jingle for over an hour you’d be pissed.

That Uber cars are owned by individuals is not only the solution, it is the point.
