That one is easy to get around. Sprinter 4x4 and snow tires.
Snow tires and there are vans with ground clearance and 4WD/AWD.
It’s amazing what a bit more explanation does. Most of the responses are just writing off the choice where you did not.
I’ve spent the past ten years working on industrial construction sites, granted as an electrical engineer. You don’t need a pickup to do this type of work. You need a vehicle suited to what you do. Most electricians use vans due to protected storage. A longer wheelbase van will carry about anything you need for…
We had no problems getting an ATV into the back of an Astro van. Also, trailers exist.
You’re right he’s not wrong, but as can be seen by this thread, people will try to prove to him that he’s wrong.
See comment about being a chubby nerd who doesn’t care about people seeing me drive a van.

I made a conscious effort to be the nicest driver I could when I owned mine, including using the turn signals.
As an Englishman, the American penchant for pickups has always mystified me. They’re big, have a large, exposed load bay in the rear, and the interiors range from “grim” to “grim with shiny bits on.” As far as something to use as a car, they appear to offer the worst of two worlds: illogical family car,…
I don’t remember the Daytona’s racing. IROC was never anything that my family went out of the way to watch.
