This actually raises a better question. Why don’t garden hoses have nice quick connect systems for attachments instead of threads?

My method is Vintage Races and tent camp on site. Mid-Ohio usually runs me around $200+fuel for the weekend. I’m doing Watkins Glen this year and with Thursday and Sunday night in a hotel I’m looking at $4-500+fuel for the weekend.

If I remember correctly, ZF provides the mechanical part and the controller but the individual manufacturers provided the programming due to it being reliant on the engine characteristics.

All this tells me is that the QC disparity between American and Japanese manufacturers is the same in cars as it is in guitars.
