Ya got me.

Yeah. She's the Un-Fun Police.

Why in the fuck would you watch a show where you don't in some way root for the main character? Shits and giggles? And I'll watch it how I please, thank you very much!

No, he's an "antihero". But you still root for him, at least for much of the show. And the character keeping him from doing the super cool fun guy stuff with (primarily) nagging is exactly what I'd call a wet blanket. This is a semantic debate now, so blah.

I guess we can agree to disagree. I'd never watch a show for six seasons where you don't at least to some extent root for the central character. That's textbook masochism. Hard pass on that.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Don't pretend like you were rooting for Skyler and against Walter (until the final season or so). That's disingenuous.

I think you (the viewer) need to divorce yourself from what a normal person SHOULD or WOULD do in that situation from what you (the viewer) actually want to see the characters do. Yes, her reactions to Walter are rational and understandable, but are they entertaining to watch? Did I enjoy any time she entered a scene

Are you serious? For three or four seasons, she's THE wet blanket.

Skylar White on BREAKING BAD. Lyla Garrity on FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. Carl on THE WALKING DEAD. Betty Draper on MAD MEN. Wet blankets, basically.

I think you meant Laurel.

"Disposable" Ugh. Come on.

The black turtleneck put it over the top, too.

Mid 40s from 2, not 3.

Yes, that's why I wrote it.

Or maybe consider that "masturbatory" is the kind of alarming gutter language that a lesser site would use in their titles, FUCKFACE.

I appreciate you guys adding "masturbato" to the URL that my workplace tracks.

Does she look like that all the time on the show? I guess I need to give it a chance…

I grabbed a screening ticket, so I'm jazzed. Dreamworks has their issues, but if HtTYD2 is any indication, I'm loving their stuff way more than Pixar's very recent stuff.

Not a spoiler: If you have any emotional connection or appreciation of Sigur Ros/Jonsi, too, you might find the opening kind of a spiritual experience.

I thought the first was fun enough, but the second one absolutely blew me away. It's such a substantial step up in every regard.
