I'm struggling to think of an example beyond this (and the right jargon to describe it), but I'm a huge sucker for trailers that use the cacophonous sounds of the movie to create the soundtrack.

Like in the trailer for Burnt—pots clanging, knives slicing, plates stacking. All of that combines to make a really tense

What makes a good trailer? Two words: Lux Aeterna.

Yup, I'd deduct a letter grade just for that. At least shows like Psych handled in-show advertising with some humor.

Well lookit this cool kid.

I wish he'd realize that he's also the worst part of his own book.

It's funny because I just read his memoir and, as with the show, I found Eddie to be the least interesting (to the great ignorance of Eddie, the real person and the character) and the parents to be fascinating people.

She managed to win the Cy Young, though, which is impressive.

Dang, that's really nice. Thanks for the offer! I'd hate to take your ticket and bail, though. I've had to turn down a few recent screenings because of last minute work meetings. If you end up going, let us know how it is. I'm pretty optimistic about this one.

I'll take your ticket!

"There’s a 'rule' in some schools of comedy that you never want to start a scene with a conflict—or make it all about a fight…" We went to very different schools.

I have it on good authority that Steve Rannazzisi was the real target on that fateful day.

If doing high school theater taught me anything, it's that Grint could have made even more money if he said it was a $142 SUGGESTED donation to take a picture with him.

Money well spent. You paid a few actors to be your personal action figures.

For me, the new Fall TV slate is like going to a chinese buffet with a new girlfriend. "I'll try one or two things, and that'll be enough," but when she goes to the bathroom, you know I'm shoving this garbage in my face as fast as I can.

They didn't kill off her character.

I can't be the only person disappointed to find that that wasn't Capaldi in the thumbnail, right?

I'd be mawr excited fah this show, but this guy has been wicked retahded lately, bud.

McQueen's Hunger and Shame are my two new ones in this category.

Better than James Franco at least?

I don't find that silly at all. It'd be silly to set a timely hacker show in an entirely fictional version of Earth.
