As a result, I propose that we move away from the check engine light and towards descriptive warning signals that explain the car's exact issue. For instance: if you have a loose gas cap, a light comes on that says "LOOSE GAS CAP." If you have a faulty oxygen sensor, a light comes on that says "FAULTY OXYGEN SENSOR."

I won't post a link to my own stuff because that's rude but I recently spent a week in a 4x2 regular cab Tradesman EcoDiesel (how one got into the press fleet is beyond me), and in mixed driving, including stop-and-go, I achieved over 28 mpg for the entire week, and that was 900+ miles.

It might be a Volkswagen.

I have no doubt that they'd love you there. Anyone in their right mind (I know a lot of people aren't in their right mind, but it sounds like Troy is) would love the exposure, especially considering you are helping them sell warranties (in a way). Knowing how easy it is to use a CarMax warranty makes me more likely to

Sounds like you should wash your own car in Detroit. :)

It looks like she's even waving first! Love it!

The thing with incentives is people don't like buy trucks without incentives. So let's put cash on the hood to sell the truck rather than just offer the truck cheaper. People prefer coupons over just cheaper prices. See: JCPenny

Speeding tickets and reckless operation. Heck, if I bought one I might as well just turn the keys over to the local constabulary.

I'd buy it, for sure.

I'd like to think his style has matured some into this!

As a member of the Texas Auto Writers Association, I attended the Truck Rodeo. If SMDI was trying to scare people into voting for a steel truck, they didn't approach me about it. I can't speak for the other 59 journalists, though.

I'd like to think that Sergio will protect the Toledo manufacturing. Yes, Cherokee is a hot seller for them and is also built there, but being from the area it would be devastating to morale to lose such an iconic vehicle. If Ford can convert Rouge to aluminum for the F-150, Chrysler can convert Toledo.

I think your top 10 is a bit whack, but I can't argue with a lot of them.

The Mk7 GTI is surprisingly good. But I agree the Audi is a different type of car. I'll be interested to see the Golf R vs. the RS3. Audi's infotainment is better though.

Dual headlights and concealed wipers? Snazzy!

The beauty in being able to do the job you do Patrick (great review, by the way) is that I get to drive many of the vehicles on sale. I've also driven everything in the entire Ford lineup, and I must say that this is probably the best car Ford currently sells.

A real protest would be refusing to buy the car. Tesla still gets their money and the guy comes off as being a spoiled brat.

I know in the Edge the 2.0L has received changes that Ford "does not comment on future product" on. So there might be changes, but I doubt it.

Re-watch and check out the scrolling headlines. Man shot in buttocks and then torched? Sounds unpleasant.
