The buggy from Moon Patrol

We used to be a proper country... with hubcaps!

Absolutely this. I gave it the benefit of the doubt when I first saw the launch photos... and then I started seeing them on the streets. Very awkward shape and design.

Not  parking, but I once had an unruly taxpayer yelling at my boss that said taxpayer “paid his salary.”  Boss reached into  his pocket, took out a quarter, offered it to the unruly fellow and said, “Here.  That ought to more than cover your share.”

I think they want to sell these though. The demo buying these things aren’t look for a manual.

I drive a first gen Ridgeline and am seriously considering a Maverick for my next vehicle. It’s as you describe a “smaller”, very useful car with an open bed and you can get 35-40mpgs with the hybrid. I would say Ford shot themselves in the foot not offering AWD with the hybrid but sales say otherwise.

College should be paid for by the state and we should not have to jump through these hoops just to avoid crippling debt while becoming functional adults.

The 276hp “agreement” was informal. Most of the known JDM cars of that era were all making north of 300hp.

Meanwhile in the US, 3-year olds play with much cheaper, much easier to purchase, and much more deadly toys. But to be fair they were not trained in their use, unlike this rich kid...

How’s about a “different kind of car company?” I bought a 93 SL1 just like the one pictured. It was the best car I will most likely ever own. Nothing fancy but for what it was, it was great. Other than basic maintenance, I never spent a dime in repairs on that car. Not even a rattle. Weirdly, it even handled snow like

I really wanted to say it was the Viper, but I challenged my assumptions. After giving it some thought, I’m pretty sure the answer is the Ford Explorer. It was the first widely-accepted soft-roader “SUV” that was really just a different-looking minivan. The beginning of the end of The Car and the beginning of the

TBH, I would have just quit. I hope there was something about this job that made it worth keeping, because it sure doesn’t seem like it.

Whoa. Pass the marshmallows. I’m an old-school guy and I have to routinely hide the fact I liked FO3 more than FNV. I’ve been wanting to play FO3 again for awhile - but I always felt less pushed in any direction than FNV. I mean, if Vegas had been worth the push...

I still say that first moment of walking into the

Coming in here to say Morrowind doesn’t need a remaster. I’ve never understood why anyone would want to mess with the perfection it is.

I’m very much in the camp (it’s tiny, our water and ration supplies are dwindling) that a remaster of Oblivion *with* the level scaling fixed or removed (and maybe all the other cool

Oh, I actually agree. It’s why I don’t own a Supra. But at least an M Coupe Z4 isn’t pretending it’s something else.

Automatic transmissions. I’ll take the base, manual transmission please.

When you drive a Wrangler, not wearing any seatbelt might be the least of your problems

Definitely was interesting when I was going back and forth between my GTI Sport and my BMW 1-series. VERY different clutch experiences, to say the least. I find my two BMWs to be fairly difficult to consistently drive smoothly, even with the clutch delay valves removed. Adds to the fun and challenge of mastering them!

I taught my daughter in my GTI, but I think I made the job harder on myself.  The first time she stalled it I said “you killed the engine”.  She thought I meant she’d destroyed the engine and started to panic

Toyota do make the Corolla hatchback as a Hybrid.  They are quite popular here in Australia.
