First-gen Hyundai Tucsons meet a lot of your requirements. I bought one as my beater for very similar reasons as you. Mine’s a 2006 Limited with the 2.7 v6, has about 121k miles, and everything works including a/c. I put new front brakes on it plus inspection when I bought it to the tune of about $400 but that’s it,

In general, removing a FICO score requirement should be celebrated because FICO scores are total scams that do nothing other than perpetuate the wealth gap in this country.

I mean, this is a Ubisoft game, after all.

Eh. Not really. It’s hardly an amazing car, but it’s pretty reliable and is transportation. Unpopular opinion for an enthusiast site of course.

Cool beans.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree. Should be Gigantic like the Navigator, Armada, and Escalade.

One answer for best off roader:

Spot on regarding the Viper. I personally thought it looked very weird (it reminded me of the old Huffy Green Machine with the front end being the major focus of the vehicle), as it appears to be wider at the hood, but at least it could race a Corvette. I had a law professor and his favorite joke for any occasion was

That back end is giving me Hyundai Genesis coupe vibes.

Not really no.

I was incredibly disappointed that there’s no manual option.  The car drives really well, and it’d be a delight with a manual.  I’d probably have one right now if it did.

Read no farther than “diesel” and mashed the ND.

Single clutch automated manual, before  manufacturers had figured out DCT.

C’man Porsche, we really don’t need all those badge additions to these cars. It’s a 911, tried and true, and everything else is just bragging. (Yes, I realize bragging is what owning a Porsche is all about.) In fact, we don’t even need the Porsche logo at the top. just a simple 911 across the butt.

Minivans. All of them.

The Kia dealer in my town is owned by the same group that also has Lexus, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Mini. I’ve never bought a car from them, but shopping there has been a pleasant experience.

Yep, we’re waiting. We had this big plan to hand down my wife’s Outback to our new-driver son and she was going to get a Telluride. Considering I’ve only seen 2 new-model Tellurides driving around since their release and have read plenty of stories of bad deals at the dealership, he’ll have to share with us until

The only problem per say if you want to call it a problem is somehow the SC430 managed to do most everything wrong that the SC300/400 did right. Toyota didn’t need a bubbly cramped convertible. It needed a sporty grand touring coupe. The SC430 managed to everything that a grand tourer was supposed to do wrong. Sure

Same reason why it deserves the “worst car ever” award instead of something like, say, the Trabant. The SC430 had all the ingredients to be a great car, Toyota had the resources to make it so, but they settled for meh.
