It (V6) was a hair under or slightly above the 3,500 mark with options. That sunroof was a heffer. Still weighs less than an Outback 2.5. The 370Z was only 50-170 pounds less. Considering the old 2+2 often added weight, that was about spot on for a 2+2 (the G37 was heavier). When looking at the Stang and Comaro V6

I polity disagree here. Hard Nope. I had a 280Z, my father had the 240Z.

Not a car nor “beautiful” but it is the best looking of my history...

You need that much torque to haul around a family of four americans in that sedan....

North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Yeah, I did it for exactly the same reason. Allowed me time to slow-browse and look for options that *might* have been sitting longer to make a offer on those units - but this was preapocalypse .

Easy, put a bed on the back of those formula cars, and call it an F150. Ford has already sued folks for it because ‘Muricans’ don’t know the difference

Honesty

Approach and departure angle are better on the FJ... but the break-over angle is a LOT better. About 5% better than the TRD Pro variant of the 4runner. That is MASSIVE difference.

This wasn’t your standard school commuter for softroading. This wasn’t a unibody crossover... it was a body on frame offroader. Basically you would need to spec a wranger into the rubicon before the jeep could keep up with the FJ. Really, front LSD and a rear locker made the FJ stock better. Now the approach angles

It is four doors folks

I mean, how could Toyota not sell these things today?

Raptor Egg

Well, it depends on her pending court hearing because Privlaged-Gates Property Management LLC has banned her from the premises for that last fall’s assault over free-range, glutten-free, pumpkin spice dog biscuts at Trader Joes.

Lol.

Snow driving while in control vs when you can’t control it. I guess you find the lack of (any) control fun but that is a major issue on my end. Breaking grip on the rear in the snow is fun WHEN you have traction/rotation at the front. Otherwise, if you don’t have control you don’t and the environment can/will kill

As another MR2 owner. Hard NOPE - at least with ice and a slope (mountains). It is the least fun winter car other than just driving it out of spite. Even then, this made me look to an old automatic Subaru Legacy because I would rather drive that in the snow/ice and be bored to death than killed by my MR2.

As someone who used to do winter emergency driving and driver training (including in winter conditions).

I agree, it got better but on the other hand, for 1984 “detroit” - outside the Vette and now the C/K - it was far more advanced and defined a lot of how GM would go later. I like it more than the Camaro...
