Yeah, but our detective vehicles were Ford Fusion Hybrids... no-one is 5-0 cosplaying that

Sure, it has a manual. And it was as underwhelming back in the day to make it interesting now.
The first Gen Neons were great track rats in the mid 2000s. Now they are rare. However, a auto-neon with the 3 speed would be horrific...
Don’t disagree, but the Matrix (less so the Vibe) will still command the Toyota used tax. Might cost twice as much and unlike the GM/Ford options etc, the Aveo/Sonic was made continuously and is easier to find with less demand. As for the Matirx The older 1ZZFE 1.8 isn’t a bad track engine (powers the MR2) and you can…
Hard no. Why? With modern cars requiring a pedal input to start the ignition, I have to cram something just to get vehicle started - often to access something else. Adding a LONG wait in a parking lot just to turn over the car is a PITA. I just want to access a vehicle without the driver’s seat in the way.

Thankfully, the heroes of the GM accounting/marketing department would make this feature only available with…
Yes, for me it would be more chrome and pinstripping.... but these are just the decisions made before becoming a Nissan Altima driver....
As a former fleet guy who had Journeys, any price over free is asking to much.
The “unwashed masses” with never see the “out of stock” new car nor a manual brown wagon.... because “market conditions”
2-door manuals only at the trackday. Guest parking for anything that is larger than a 2+2/hot hatch and automatics have to use the carpool lot on the other side of town and take the shuttle....(no shuttles will be provided). SUV drivers will be stoned.
So you are say just show the random new car that is “out of stock” on lots or a manual brown wagon?
This is all coming from an entity that includes two “brands” with a soon-to-be-discontinued/retooled lineup of SIX vehicle combined.
