I’m not a fan of this per say, but I wanted to take a moment to shill for the audiobook version of Lithgow’s ‘The Poet’s Corner’, which has numerous celebrities (plus Lithgow himself) reading classic poems of classic poets from the English canon. It’s truly delightful, and that’s not a word I use lightly.

Yup. This is Lost... in Space.

Hi buddy, Internet rando here; I have no horse in this race but stumbled across this comment section and noticed your... shall we say, advocacy?, across multiple threads

Spider-Man 2 is shit. It’s the best shit of the Raimi trilogy, elevated largely by Molina’s performance and that legendary train sequence, but the movie’s a goddam mess. Spider-Man loses his powers, but then gets them back and we never learn why.

Spider-man #17 (1991) is a one-off story where Peter Parker is killed by Thanos, then manages to talk his way back to life. But he *does* die.

I can’t speak for billionaires on the whole, but of Musk in particular, no one individual human stands a better chance of saving our entire species. I’m pretty okay with acknowledging him as my superior for that, and if you’re doing anything nearly as important in the areas of transportation, space travel, solar

It’s a depressingly cynical fact of our modern life. I resisted it everywhere I could, but the bastards wore me down. Now I just don’t say anything.

I feel like the ‘sparks joy’ thing gets misunderstood (deliberately or otherwise) and needlessly shat on. In your example, does riding your bike spark joy? I would be willing to argue that on some if not every level, it does. Does the comfort of being able to repair your bicycle on demand spark joy?

HAhaha omfg what hill to die on

Hey, just your Friendly Neighbourhood Internet Stranger here to remind you that it’s 2018 and we’re not using the r-word anymore, just a friendly reminder and also it’s 2018.

Re: Deke, I’ve never felt this guy. It’s hard to tell if it’s the acting, writing, or direction (or a loose combination of the three) but there’s such a massive gap between how much the show wants me to care about him, and how little I actually do.

Better. But, listen bro, aside from being possibly not the best venue for your powerful moment of realization, I would argue that this episode and Were-monster from last season have justified the cost of admission of this reboot. Just give it a chance, maybe. Good luck with your blog.

You’re missing out. I have a feeling it’s not the first time.

This guy gets it.

On the contrary, Bryan Singer has A LOT of explaining to do.

Dude, wtf. I know you won the war of stars or upvotes or whatever, but this was a serious downward spiral of commentary, starting at infantile and ending at unhinged.

I read this entire thread and I feel sorry for you.

Nimoidians being the obvious low-hanging racist fruit. Like, seriously, how did no one point that out to George?

Wait, what? Not trolling, but what progressiveness are you referring to? Because last time I checked, having a feisty female and token black dude doesn’t count.
