and I were able to recognize early on that not every family looked exactly the same or like what we saw on television.

Greetings diaspora brethren!

Similar feelings.  Howdy fellow Indian.  Hope your family & friends are safe over there right now.

Now playing

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Part of it was the fact that I’m Indian, and I’ve ridden a train like that for an extended period of time, but the cinematography was incredible and the soundtrack as well.

Billie was writing incredibly witty and fun lyrics as a young teenager and she’s definitely not a shitty person like Lana, haha. Just because you don’t care for someone’s style of singing doesn’t render them talentless. That’s just silly.

I don’t listen to her, either, but it doesn’t bother me for other people to like her music. It’s funny when people feel the need to make sure everyone knows they don’t like something. It’s like, ok, who cares? It’s even more funny when it’s not enough for someone to say that they don’t like something - they need to

Oh Mike, you're so whacky!

I dare you to listen to Billie sing acapella and then Rihanna without autotune and tell us who you think is better. Perfectly fine not to like her music, but Billie is wildly talented.

100%. Can’t imagine B.E. wanted to look like a “pin-up,” given all the misogyny that accompanies it.

Oh please. The dark eyebrows are my favorite thing about this look. Billie Eilish is cool specifically because she doesn’t style the way a beauty/glamour magazine would.

Billie Eilish!!!!  This one is my favorite, the composition of the photo, the super hot 90s office fembot vibes, everything about it is great.  This girl is like, the coolest 19 year old on the planet.

If we’ve learned anything, America is a nation that respects young and attractive women, and have a profound understanding of boundaries and appropriate behavior. I’m sure it will all work out splendidly, and the focus will remain on her work, and not her appearance.

I booked DMX at a show in Atlanta around... I want to say it was Halloween 2011. Anyway, I didn’t really know what to expect. At that point in his career, DMX was something of a novelty name to add to a bill. Our other acts that night were all pretty standard EARMILK fare, and our audience was probably just old enough

Thanks for clarifying, the article is completely meaningless with this omission. /s

DMX and Prince Phillip were always so competitive. From rhymes to stage presence to funerary transportation.

I basically feel bad for everyone but the cops. The mom didn’t do anything wrong. Her daughter appears to have been abused and she did the right thing trying to protect her. The kid was alone in a bathroom. The cops needed to de-escalate and they didn’t.

I would’ve slapped it to the bottom of an Amazon delivery truck  or even better yet a semi that was from out of state.

Ah, the Cartman Gambit, as it is known in technical circles.

The ship has been interned by a belligerent foreign power. Based on my understanding of The Sea, the honorable thing would be for the crew to scuttle the Ever Given rather than let it fall into enemy hands.

or holding actual humans for ransom
