Seen it. Done a decent amount of research into climate change, bleaching of reefs, acidification of the oceans...... Never said we weren’t fucked. I’m just pointing out that I’ve yet to find a holistic climate change model that directly deals with the breakdown of the North Atlantic current in a holistic manner.

The Earth will heat up until the North Atlantic current alters because of the injection of cold, fresh water. That’ll probably drop temperatures in Europe a ton. Harsher winter with colder temps will refreeze the ice ice allowing a new North Atlantic current to reform. The Europe will heat up again....

I’ve read that weirdly, these scams are getting more efficient as they are more well known. Reasonable people dismiss them out of hand but the truly stupid among us jump right in. There’s no more middle ground.

If anything, this whole episode has exposed supply and demand for the sham that it is.

Airline travel has been increasing since last summer. If you are incapable of doing some projections and realizing you don’t have enough employees, you shouldn’t be running a billion dollar company.

If your business has staffing shortages, it is your fault. No one else. If you don’t have enough people who want to work for you, it’s because you don’t pay enough. Supply and demand applies to the labor market as well.

Regional puddle jumpers make terrible pay.

I think “actual value” is what you could sell it to a third party for. If the owner defaults and goes into foreclosure, what can the bank sell it for. That removes bidding between two party that just had to have the house and provides a more reasonable evaluation.

If you think this is limited to just dealership, I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona with your name on it.

This is good advice. My last round of home buying, the bank would loan me up to 700K, which was unreasonable to me. I bought at 420K.

I’ve seen people guarantee to make up the delta between appraised and agreed price.

This is a bit different though. Sure low rates are causing prices to go up but supply is also much lower than it was in ‘08.

I’ve heard that as well. In college I work bell/valet at a nice resort in Vail. This was during the last recession. An appraiser worked there to make some extra cash as people weren’t selling. He said if a house needed to hit a certain number, he made it work whether it was through a unique view or feature.

Because Elon assumes he is a walking god and has people loyal to him/Tesla that is borderline ideological. If Musk just kept his mouth shut and produced the same results, no one would hate him or Tesla. It’s the bravado and arrogance that he routinely displays that make people hate him.

This is an underappreciated reference.

So we shouldn’t utilize driver assists because of low probability failures?

To a point yes, but when you are on the highway, it’s pretty straight forward. Yes you need to leave more distance, but it really just comes down to understanding that closing rates are more important as your acceleration capabilities are reduced.

Ladies of the evening. Or men if that is your thing.

I’ve touched 135 on GPS on my bike. Can confirm, it’s fast.

I saw a video about modern engines in planes. Some pilots wanted the control over the mixture as a measure of control, akin to the manual versus auto debate. They presented the other side of it. A company built a high tech, well performing, modern motor and nobody bought it.
