I got stuck on this episode when in the car chase the guy Coulson is chasing goes onto his phone and plays a 5 second video file called "gridlock.mp4". Blatantly in an app called "Act 1 video player". Then pretends he voice activated the command.

This was a fantastic episode. 5 episodes in and all the major points of the season just crashed together all at once.

I'm willing to give Shaw's development a little time, because she's only had three episodes as a primary character.

I think that its an extremely subtle nod to the machine in the final scene with Root where she picks up a yellow phone to talk to the machine.

We saw at the beginning of Relevance that it deprecated Irrelevant information when the Aquino information came in, so whats not to say that its deprecating other data (and even Relevant data?) to protect itself?

This episode just confirms to me that Person of Interest is starting to approach Fringe levels of brilliance.

I reckon when (yes, when!) there is a season 3 his character may begin to soften as he doesnt have to retain his facade around people like Chris/Rook anymore. Although - like Lady Gaga - he may keep that personality for performance/stage reasons.
