It's still comes down to budget. Was I disappoint when DD wasn't swinging roof top to rooftop with his billy club? Yes, but it's more important for great comics like this to actually get to the screen than it is to nitpick details that might not even translate well... aaaand that came off more fiery than intended.

I think his almost evil "omnipresence" is what made him a worthy adversary. Batman's entire mystique is that he can be anywhere at anytime, so baddies beware! Turning that on its ear was to me the only thing that made the joker compelling. The joker was what Loki should've been: an evil, lurking trickster god.
