Hi, do agree with overall but disagree with the No Man’s Sky analogy. While you could say they had such violent bad press because they opened the door and shared their work. IMO where they failed is that they open the doors to show a bunch of prospective development, decided to cut a bit of it and not mentioned that

Lemme call the wha-mbulance for Bluehole, unless Epic Gamges are using assets from PUBG they don’t have a leg to stand on. Success always spawns imitators.

Will definitely be interesting to see, for the current content prices are already pushing into your acceptable range. I mean depending on how you purchase your points, lets says the easiest to calc the 1500/15 bucks all the current content ranges from $.50-$5.00. Anything interactive would be on a magnitude more

Sorry was not arguing the potential appeal of content more of skepticism that Bethesda would ever sink the time/resources doing anything as ambitious as that. I personally see CC as nothing more than a thinly veiled new revenue stream for them, they don’t care about empowering modders’ or anything else like that. They

IMO Bethesda will never release any content like that. CC is blatant money grab where they hire content creators as consultants, give no share of the profits, and have 0 incentive to do anything ambitious. I seriously doubt that they will ever insert a quest line where they hire voice actors to create content or opens

Agree think it was a over zealous marketing and I get it to a extent. It is not like .net is the most up to date thing to reference. However, battle.net is a classic it rolls off the tongue and like the floppy save icon who care what its origins are anymore.

One of my favorite games of all times. Do agree COH2 was a disappointment, however not over core gameplay but poor adjustments made when Relic collapsed. Still hoping for COH: Korea / COH: Pacific / or COH: Modern Warefare type game since the franchise has so much potential. However a shame it is being left as a

Neat-0 stuff not sure if I would drop 400+ to build my own keyboard but we all gotta have a hobby

IDK if they had combined the std game with the expansion for 60 that would not be so bad but boosting the price for 80 bucks for both for a game that used to 30 + expan seems little overkill. However, wasn’t going to buy it at 30 and definitely not going to buy it with the increase

annd there listing them now at 420.99 with 1 left. Not that invested in getting a giant gameboy with a cellphone processor in it. However....

Yeah but he got better

Agree, personally think it is cool when mainstream athletes dabble in card/video games. They end up being a great ambassadors for the their respective games and help to break down the stigma that gaming is for a bunch of pimple faced dweebs. (Know this is not the case but an opinion that I find is prevalent)

Sounds fun but the story line is that a guy is falsely accused of murder and then becomes an assassin? Isn’t that a little counter-intuitive?

While I love Dark Forces and is great game, would say that my fav of all time is prob KOTOR

While I agree that the freemium  gaming model for mobile is annoying but I wouldn’t say it is a problem of tech but rather of developing a monetization model for the platform. Those SNES/NES/Gameboy games all ran from 20 to 60 bucks when they were first released and tell me how many people out there see a mobile game

Last one I remember was Battlefield Vietnam, which was fun imo. However agree that those conflicts would be interesting to explore, just think their negative connotations make hard territory to tread into

What! How am I going to product compare now between the full priced licensed controller and the shitty Mad Catz knock off. Many a time I have been at a gaming store in my childhood debating if the 20 dollars or so was worth saving to get the odd looking PoS over the genuine article. The genuine product prevailed

Kinda bummed, did not follow this at all but had envisioned it being a mix between CoH and Starcraft. Not sure why I would have thought Microsoft would have done something like that anyway, since the last Halo Wars was about the same story to this game.

Hi Jason, great articles on this topic.
