So it does do some verification but that verification is not is what the issue that Blizz is discussing. That issue is related specifically accessing online characters and initiating sessions with them. Offline characters are saved locally and once past the initial verification you should be able to play. Its just no

The game can be entirely run locally, you just cannot move players dynamically between online/offline play. Which makes sense since to do that you would need to store the player files locally, and folks could essentially mod the save files to their hearts content.

The key word of the statement IMO is this “In staying true to the original game, we kept a lot of legacy code. However, one legacy service in particular is struggling to keep up with modern player behavior.”

Personally in agreement, maybe for slightly different reasons. Sony has kept an iron grip for ages on exclusives and blocking crossplay efforts on numerous titles due to competition concerns. Zenimax, and subsequently Bethesda, is now a Microsoft studio this can’t really be surprising. I personally agree with the

I mean I honestly don’t know, and think it can vary from state to state. The game wardens/park rangers I have had experience could write you a ticket but they couldn’t arrest you. For example, found smoking pot on public land, they could detain you until the police showed up but couldn’t arrest you. Could write you a

Very true, and would guess if authorities were that inclined to go after this guy it would be straightforward enough to get one. I was just operating under my states enforcement for these type of infractions, which isn’t Sheriff/Local PD, but rather a separate group under wildlife/land conservation. Which makes

First, the whole land owner being liable. Wouldn’t they be an accessory at worst. Using an overblown analogy, if someone kills someone and ditches a body on someone’s property/land, to their knowledge, they are an accessory to that murder. So at best your both in trouble.

Completely not helpful but if this came out in the 90's it’d take my 56k killer 433 days to download this.

Yeah I agree, one question mark is how it is listed on the menu. Are the gold flaked and normal different items, an up charge, etc. If it wasn’t clearly written on the menu as a unique item, hence someone who went there wouldn’t blatantly know they got the wrong thing then IMO it is on the restaurant. I mean as an

Oh what Ben Brode didn’t make the cut

They mentioned a bit in the press release xbox/pc rollouts but maybe xbox/microsoft store exclusive, which is annoying but I have been trying their online gamepass for 5 bucks a month, which a crazy good deal, and been enjoying it. IMO the exclusivity is going to be on the console side, cause lets face it Microsoft

eh give it a year and guarantee you can build something more powerful, also keep in mind most game systems, not sure about the newest generations are usually not beefy enough to run an OS just on Specs alone. The whole reason a game console can run a demanding game is more the dev tailoring the game to work with the

Agree, think you are espousing something I have similarly been at for awhile in that what is really the advantage of having a game console? If you took your average 500 to 700 pc tower and put it up against a Xbox/PS is there really much that can’t be played? You can hook them up to just about any TV these days, if

Not a Canadian, from WI but agree lots of things in life to go cheap on. Knock off maple syrup is not one of them.

I mean broforce is kinda close, but I did have some nostalgia for this awhile back and meant to look it up on the internet project that has been making these ultra old school games available.

My personal fav was catching grizzly getting boxed in by 3 wolves and then the bear proceeding to kill and start eating one, while the other wolves booked it. Coincidentally, they picked up my scent and tried coming after me.

Seems silly but sure something to make the competitive play more compelling during streaming. IMO battle royale is a shifting field with differing priorities competing against each other. If two opponents find it is better to cooperate than compete at a particular point in a game so be it.

No no, it is BS and it shouldn’t happen. I have done a bit of project work through my career, not gaming but lots of parallels. It leads to a ton of burnout and it is a shame cause prob squandering some great talent trying to turn and burn through to the go-live date

I feel for that, but go on reddit and read RDR2 posts or Fallout 76, people give literally zero f’s about what employees go through to make a game. What I am getting at in my post is this isn’t easy problem to solve.

Feel for these workers, but sometimes pushing out a date isn’t feasible. Can be capital issues, prime shopping seasons, or contractual commitments to get a product out the door. Gaming biz is a tough biz to be in and not a lot of compassion for mediocrity internally from a company or players.
