I don't think you should assume that missing Mr. Wednesday and wanting to get back to the main plot means the show isn't for you. If you've been liking it so far—and it's been rambling and indirect so far—then that's that.

I thought Laura and Shadow's first sex scene was pretty hot.
Right? Like, congratulations on never having known despair!
Jesus, I just don't agree with your fancasting, there's no need to get all hot under the collar. Would "agree to disagree" also be the dumbest thing to say in any situation?
I'm betting that still happens, because the whole Cairo section is pretty important for Shadow's character, and there's no way Bryan Fuller gives up the chance to set a whole episode (or more than one!) in a funeral home. My guess is this was one way of just giving Ibis and Jacquel a little more to do along the way.
I don't think I believe Zack Efron married to anybody, but you do you.
Do you believe him married to Betty Gilpin?
I never watched it, but I believe you.
Too young!
I have more than once fallen out of love with someone and really struggled with what to do about it because I had grown to feel like I owed them my continued love and support, and therefore let the relationships go on too long. It's not fun.
They're all too good (and too charismatic) for Robbie. The whole point of Robbie is that he's basic as fuck.
Now, now. There are two main types of nihilism. One says, nothing matters so don't care about anything. Another says, nothing matters so FUCKING GO FOR IT! #NotAllNihilists
Ooh! That's actually quite plausible; there was some Tarot business in Hannibal's last season.
I recently went through this with a particular character on Black Sails. I was sending my friend an all-caps email about a plot development involving her and it felt real weird typing "OH. MY. GOD. [MY NAME]!!!"
Oh, no, the episode where he goes to Lithuania was literally tailor made for me. This ridiculous fairy-tale Romantic gothic vampire grand guignol excess!! I LIVE!!!
Wow, ok. I found her very sympathetic.
omg I just realized. In the cemetery with Shadow she goes on that whole tangent about how you can't argue with dead, there's no debate, and you'll never get closure even if you write them a letter…and then she got closure. (Ish.)
preach it.
The first half of season 3 (which seems to be the part most people complain about) is still one of my favorite things I've ever seen in my life.
Maybe next season! We can hope! You never know!
