Yup, some people like a 2nd device. IMO I prefer my iPad Pro, I can read different stores: kindle, comixology, zinio, pdfs and epubs on iBooks, libby for library books, etc. And I only need to travel with one device that I’m going to be traveling with anyway.

It depends. You can sync music to the GPS model and listen with bluetooth. So it is basically for calls and text only. You can stream Apple Music, but not Spotify right now. If she just goes to the gym, cellular version isn’t needed. But if she is an outside runner and swimmer, cellular version is nice.
