Why the fuck did they wait till ONE DAY BEFORE then? This sounds like some extremely shady bullshit to me. They could have openly communicated all this way earlier but chose to wait till now. Why? Feels like they’re trying to ambush people or something.

This article stayed on topic and didn’t force in political talking points. 10/10

I count about 6 or 7 great games. And that’s not just me talking out my ass, those games were very successful with high player counts that were satisfied with them. There’s also a fair number of average to good games. A few trash games that did bomb, and rightly so in most cases. That’s still over a dozen games that a

And that’s how it should have stayed. Disney didn’t have to sell an exclusive license to EA. This is terrible. Not this game, but like, the fact that only EA can make Star Wars games.

that’s how Lucasarts did it.

I very much prefer the Warhammer route of licensing where the owners license out the IP to pretty much absolutely anybody that wants to work on it. There are so, so many Warhammer and 40k games being released fairly regularly. Some of them are trash and bomb, but there’s so much variety and plenty of legitimately good

I mean, it really is well earned hate. It kind of reminds me of Ripley in Aliens. “Why the fuck is there an android on board!?!?!?” Like, it makes perfect sense she’d be pissed off. Trust has to be re-earned and it can take some time.

“Free DLC for life”: Microtransaction CAMPs.

Nice try, Todd.

Any time I support an American company, I am in turn supporting a regime that denies climate change, supports capital punishment, and allows its citizens to die en masse to a preventable disease.

Not obsessively following cancel culture demands is not “implicitly approving” of anything. I suppose you live independent of all Chinese trade? If you actually do, that’s impressive.

That is one aspect of cancel culture I particularly loathe. Please do not tell others what they approve of all because they don’t obey

It’s funnier even when you take in the fact that Amber is also a “Cop”. And the Librarian is a consultant for the “cops”.

And the MC is deputized.

Seems reasonable. They’re a private entity and can make up any rules they want. Kind of like stores with signs No Shoes, No Shirt, No service.

That shouldn’t have anything to do with cops in this fantasy game unless there’s context within the game itself that should compel players to boo the game world’s police. It just seems weird and distracts from the rest of the article.

Boo because all cops are bad everywhere in in fantasy worlds in video games apparently.  Its a moronic thing thats going on right now where Americans want anything that give any police a somewhat positive spin to be banned even if they're not American cops

Booing just because the character is a “cop?” Fuck you Kotaku...

Kaeya, a sword-wielding cop (boo!)

I don’t think any of that matters at all.

hate speech is not an opinion.
