I'm pretty sure I've made the game show case on some Survivor post, probably in one of the season 1 recaps.  I think it's mostly a game show but also has reality aspects.

I think people maybe forget the fact that Colby won all those challenges against some pretty terrible competition.  He was the only strong competitor in his alliance, and his tribe demolished any potential competition to him pretty early on.  The final 6 was Amber, old-ass Rodger, Elizabeth, Tina, Keith and Colby.
