Most of the removed words would have caused an uproar if they ever actually popped up.

Honestly it’s kind of hard for me to get mad at the NYT for not letting you guess racial slurs in Wordle anymore. When “slave” and “lynch” were the words of the day (and they were both going to be), don’t you think they’d look bad on social media? I get why they wouldn’t want that.

More akin to Witchers 1&2. The third game had notable now forgotten problems at launch (the texture pop-in was hilariously poor) but it sort of provided a rose-tinted view of CDPR’s history as they’re 3 for 4 in terms of fucking up launches.

That’s what every big company that buys out a super popular independent product does: strip away the things that made people love it and wonder why it’s not popular anymore.

Not as bad as Cyberpunk though

FYI, since I don’t see the full lists published anywhere, here are the words removed from the possible guesses (some are offensive, some are very offensive, this is an image instead of text to potentially not get caught in other filters) and the smaller list of removed daily words (both in alphabetical order). And

Maybe a bit of a conspiracy theory, but I say that this is 100% intentional - the NYT picked a word shortly after their acquisition that they could argue made sense to remove in order to force holdouts onto their version. “Agora” is both a fairly uncommon word and would make “Aroma” (today’s word, what would have been

How is this happening?  If I go to the original URL I get automatically redirected to the NYTimes site.

“Though I can’t begrudge anyone for wanting to hang onto Wordle 1.0. Now a whole new audience can ride the live service game roller coaster.”

Even the “good” seasons are 5 episodes too long.

We Yanks are still stuck with Hulu for 2 reasons:
1) Because we’re also still stuck with a loud minority group of parents who like using the TV as a babysitter & will try to start a boycott if their kid accidentally sees a boob, but also refuse to learn how parental controls work.
2) Because Hulu is still 1/3 owned by

It’s going to be on Disney Plus in Canada, the UK and well everywhere else where there’s Disney Plus with the 18+ clicker content. No idea why the Yanks are still stuck with Hulu. But I get to watch Aliens, Borat and Predator on Disney Plus which is neat.

Okay Grandpa. The rest of us will just grab a torrent

Exactly. There are plenty of Marvel shows already on Hulu from Runaways to Legion to the recently released Hit Monkey and the already forgotten Helstrom. And nobody gives a “fuck” what people say on Hulu.

Get out the ole VCR and record from your TV as you stream the episodes!

If you watched Jessica Jones, you know there was a lot of doing and not saying.

The House of Mouse has been careful to keep its squeaky clean image, so it’ll be interesting to see what comes of Jessica Jones and the rest.

I thought the Punisher washed Iron Foot’s mouth out with soap for swearing in episode 3 of The Offenders. But I may be getting some of my facts wrong.

But they could have.

The new home will likely be Disney+
