Ufouria is great too. Sunsoft churned out a few cult classics near the end of the NES lifespan
I love VRChat, but the same way that a lot of people just assume Second Life=flying Penii , they assume VRchat=Furry Mayhem , or Racist 12 year olds dressed as brushes , or just Ugandan Knuckles.
Do!
VRchat has this problem that its hard to filter out trolls and kids .At the moment the workaround is that there are discord groups (Ancients of VRChat* being one large one , but there are others out there)that you can join , friend members in VRC, and then only join friends+ worlds , so you only interact with people…
By that logic we should also stop any development into VR in general, though.
VR Chat is amazing though, what do u mean
Second Life was huge (for some definition of huge) before it slipped off the map, VR Chat’s found a niche (okay, mostly furries, but you know what, good for them, and their avatars are still way better looking and less unsettling than the corporate torsos)... definitely not enough of a return for huge corporations but…
I was thinking the same thing. There’s several great free platforms for VR social hangout content available, so you don’t really need to be shackled to Facebook’s implementation. They’ll really need to step things up if they want to compete with the real players in this space like Rec Room and VRChat, the latter of…
Adblock blocked your calendar. It’s 2022 now.
2022*.
Horizon Worlds is such a junky... thing. It’s not even proper to call it a game.
Didn’t we already realize Second Life was a bad idea? Or VR Chat? How many companies are going to try this same experiment, hoping it’ll yield different results?
I’m tempted to try it, but I too hate Facebook and everything they stand for. Their acquisition of Oculus made me die a little inside because I love VR and deeply wish it would continue to grow into something more mainstream, and Oculus has been doing a great job of that... But now the ever-present aura of Facebook is…
Better graphics..I’m in!
I tried it out. It basically feels like a chat room with distractions and videos to watch while you’re chatting. If you enjoy talking to random people online, you’ll probably enjoy this.
Dude, use Adblock. It’s 2021. No excuse. Even mobile has the Adblock Browser.
This is “popular”?
Fuck your auto-playing video ads Kotaku, which still blasted on full volume despite me hitting mute.
