I think the Z06 actually has gears that allow high speeds. Both, corvettes and vipers (and probably many more) have top gears so long, that you run out of power way before you run out of rpm.

Crackpipe for several reasons, the 230 had a supercharged 4 cylinder, which of course could be had with the manual, the 320 had the V6, but only with an auto trans.
