I’d say 50% of the people I’ve seen before I found the ‘right’ therapist didn’t really have a timeline/end date. It took a lot of research (what additional training did they specialize, do they deal with X subjects often, etc) and testing the waters to really find someone who was right for me. If it’s something you

The fact that he continued to see her while noting his own deficiencies in able to help her, rather than referring her to another more able/knowledgable/less gross therapist, makes me think he’s not the greatest therapist.

Thank you for this. I felt like I was taking crazy pills because the conversation was getting completely derailed by several people’s misinterpretation of the “moving in and out” comment.

“I’m very sorry that what I thought were light-hearted ironic remarks were taken so seriously, and I’m very sorry if people took offense. I certainly did not mean to demean women, but rather be honest about my own shortcomings,”

No, it’s awkward. I met a new friend through another friend. We clicked, and I asked for her phone number after meeting her twice to hang out more, and it felt like I was asking her out or something. I got super nervous for some reason. Making friends as an adult is so strange.

My first western wedding had the groom take the garter by the his teeth (I was 14). The only weddings I had been to up to that point were ultra conservative asian weddings. I’m pretty sure I dislocated my jaw from the shock of it all.

This was my thought exactly... which made me really sad.

I wish they used the same scale on the axes. It would help visually compare the age range of leading ladies between say Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise.

I think it’s dependent on the designer. I mainly tried on Encore by Watters dresses which I think were made for people of my height (5’3”). Other designers were definitely made for taller women. Would have needed to chop off 3-5 inches on average to make me not look like I’m drowning in dress. I ended up with a knee

^This. I did not want to have the “bridal” experience. I just needed a simple dress within my budget and BHLDN staff were pretty great. I was under budget with the dress and it was pretty perfect. I will note that a lot of dresses I liked from the website ended up looking terrible for my silhouette, but when we found

I wish I had thought of donating it to a soup kitchen! But i was a thoughtless teenager with a massive appetite, so most of it just went to my belly. :(

I used to work in a bakery, and on days that I had to close, I had to throw out the cakes & pastries. Instead, I took them home and ate them all (or gave them out to friends). I never really understood why we had to throw them all out.

I know right? If she did 8 hr days for 3 weeks, she’d be done! Instead she drags this whole thing out months on end... I don’t get it.

Seems like it’s not really personal issues or retaliation, but rather he was acting unprofessional:

Are they serious? THIS IS JEM?!!! What is this teenybopper bullshit?

yea, I find her advice problematic. Doctors will only recommend for women in their 20s and 30s if they have a family history of diagnosis at that age or if they have had radiation therapy on their chest.

Just an FYI, employer provided insurance may not have to cover birth control yet:

A lot of insurance covered by employers are grandfathered plan (as in, if 90% is compliant with the ACA, they are not required to comply with the full extent of the law until the given deadline). Many of these plans still require a copay for birth control and it is at the employer’s discretion to comply until said

Is your plan under a grandfathered plan? If so, they are still not required to fully comply with the ACA (which is total BS... I’m under one of those plans). They extended the compliance deadlines for those plans so they are not required to cover it fully (yet).

I’m so confused as to what i’m supposed to see here. Why is this a thing.
