My 1995 GS300 was around 230k miles when a deer jumped into it. Sold it for $2k. The Corolla I had next (2004) I traded in on my current Mazda3 with just a few miles short of 250k. My 2015 Mazda has just shy of 130k miles with only consumables. This is not newsworthy stuff.

Before I bought the business I currently own, people would ask what I do. It was often followed by “I meant, what do you do for work.” After buying the business people either respond with “that’s cool, I wish I had your job” or “you can make enough money/living doing that?”

I’m in the same boat. I actually avoid talking anything family with people who don’t already know to avoid the awkwardness and sometimes rude questions. Usually I say “not anymore” when asked if I have siblings and most people get the hint and change the subject. Not everyone does or not everyone cares but it works…
