Yeah. Those were the first to fall out. Followed by the 3 springs. Pry bar, bolts, and a hammer eventually got them off. Everything had to be replaced because it all was bent or in the case of the drum a crack between the lug holes. The worst I’ve ever had for brakes.

Seems like a fun/good idea to have a separate extra loud horn(s) for the extra dangerous/stupid.

Every spring and pin fell out. The wheel cylinder was holding it in place somehow, that and the adjuster wheel was stuck

High mileage cars.

High mileage drums, got a lip, couldn’t get the shoes to back off,lots of force.

Is there a reason when I google those horns it only comes up as people with subarus? Are the Subaru specific or just big in the scene?

Need more places like that. There's a place near my house that you can dump all sorts of materials for recycling but no electronics or fluids. I mostly just have problems with the springs. The last time I did drum brakes I broke one drum and a wheel cylinder (the rubber part at least).

Drums are awful. Need to look into a disc conversion for my truck. I don't drive it enough for it to really matter but I'd love to be rid of that devil tech.

Fuel system in my truck from the sending unit to the carb all needs replaced. It's too hot down here to do such a thing. Will have to wait till fall. Won't drive it till its fixed anyway.
