My main worry for doing it this way is whether they will ever actually finish it. Such a long multi-game series connected together like this hasn’t been done before. It’s going to have more parts than even most MMOs have expansions, which is the closest thing I can think of.

If each episode is expaned to a fully fleshed 60/60+ ish hour RPG then I am fine with the way they are doing it especially with the level of polish going into the game so far.

I’m a little worried about how everything’s going to transfer to Part 2. Will there be levels and XP? Can you grind, and go into Part 2 at Lv 99 with mastered materia? How about the fact that it’ll almost certainly be spread across different console generations?

Super disingenuous of Square Enix to not say something like “Part 1" or “The Beginning” on the cover. Lots of erroneous purchases will be made, guaranteed. Personally, I’ll wait for the “collection” or whatever they call it, probably 3-4 years down the road.

The only one that I could not really tell was CG was the first image of the girl with black hair. Really amazing. Everything else I’ve seen similar quality elsewhere.
