I’m sure you’re right... hence I think this is my unreasonable hate. A friend had an all-dark-blue one that was quite nice, without the gray plastic. If they had started out this way, I might never have noticed.

The only time I liked those was in one of the Matrix movies where the bad guys drove them in that highway chase scene...

You could get the 3/4 with a short bed, but yeah still a 3/4... it wasn’t long before they did the 1/2 ton the same way though. Still, that’s probably the market. A guy who wants a truck but needs an SUV for tall kids in the back seat.

But why not suburban, in that case. Waaaayy more room inside, whether you want to use it for car parts or people. Or dogs, or furniture. You can certainly tow with it. There’s no downside except *maybe* visibility but that’s not hugely different. Cost? Just buy an older one in good shape - most people don’t use

Taken out of context, “Some guy with a 600hp Fiesta filmed himself ripping around in the sand” and I feel like everyone here would love this video. That’s how I have to watch Ken Block’s videos. At face value they are very entertaining. His shtick of doing donuts around a cone is otherwise getting old. I can’t believe

I should add that I find my hate unreasonable because they’re not terrible in their own right. And I would consider a Ridgeline or crew-cab pickup at some point, except I have dogs and kids, so I need a wagon-shaped vehicle for the interior space.

Chevy Avalanche, specifically this style with ALL THE PLASTIC CLADDING.

I should have submitted, but forgot: I had a 1971 Starcraft 16' boat a few years back... ok a lot of years back. I hadn’t installed the throttle/shift controls, but my friends wanted to go out, so I operated it from my lap - the control box was all hooked up, just not bolted to the side of the boat yet.

Absolutely. I wrote a thesis on materialism so I like to think I’m grounded on that front ... I like my stuff but don’t make it define me. I’m most grateful for my family and that’s not just words......

Sometimes I think about this in relative terms. Let’s say I’m a responsible single adult with moderate income in my area. I have $10,000 in the “bank” whatever you want that to mean - basically I make a little more than I spend, my savings hovers around $10k.

Close, but the sunglasses delete will only be available on the GT3RS, thus costing more.

I just want to say thank you for pointing out that article about the worst two weeks of music... it was worth it just for this line alone:

I was thinking this; maybe for humor, in this case. Or maybe to satisfy an insurance company?

Engine: Mid

Indeed it will

You should read the Professor and the Madman, about the writing of the Oxford English Dictionary, and Made In America by Bill Bryson about the English language more generally, and how it evolves.

I was surprised to see that first test even included, after they nixed the test where they were going to tow the Duster out of the mud “because it was too easy.”

The detailed explanations in the replies of exactly what, how, and why this happened, along with supporting evidence, are like showing a flat-earther a picture of the Earth from space.

You ought to be able to get the color matched by an auto parts place with a paint camera... I did this recently with my ‘61 Ford that has a color no one could identify. The match was excellent, in my opinion.
