F-Zero GX Story Mode, its not that its hard its that it makes you think you can actually win and then at the end after 3-4 minutes of driving the game decided to bone you.

@Evangel: I would add to that doing things like Valve's free weekend system is another great way of combating piracy. I know a DoD:S free weekend got me hooked on that game.
