I was really expecting FF7's "play around in your beloved's most traumatic memories" to be here.

The "you're wrong and stupid" defense really illuminates your point and demonstrates with nuance and aplomb how perverted laughing and liking stuff is.
Maybe if you had described these women making psychotic jack-o-lantern o-faces, or talking about the double dildos they wanted to ride together, your prepubescent disgust and hyperbolic, skinny-jeans-mall-teen reaction would make a small amount of sense. You projected "creepy" onto the situation, but your actual…
How does the conversation you describe translate to masturbation? Do you really think "girls' night out" means we all sit in a circle and go to town on our clits together? The question you're looking for here is "Would it weird you out if a bunch of guys were standing around talking about how hot Scarlett Johansson is…
Literally all they were doing was laughing and expressing titillation/excitement over a sexy movie and you were ~traumatized. You sound like a kid who never got over his hentai phase.
I'll certainly change my tune if they do include her, and all this "no Stoneheart nope" stuff might just be an effort to surprise people. I'm still bummed that they toned down her role in the Red Wedding, though.
Her death is certainly the saddest part about the RW in the books. And Stoneheart doesn't have to actually do anything to be a impactful conclusion her arc. Cat spends 2.5 books just trying to stop her family from being murdered, only to be brought back from death herself. The resurrection itself is a perfect and…
They're not distractions from your point. My point is that they often make choices that neuter powerful storylines and needlessly make things harder for themselves. Changes are definitely necessary, but many of the ones they've made so far are baffling.
It would be fine if most of their changes made any sense.
[SPOILERS]
The first film is fantastic, to me, and I can't see anything else ever capturing that particular, weirdly dark atmosphere. I would love to see a series that is consistently strong and covers more material from the books, though.
Blade comin'.

me.” *a sperm whale churns in the black void, inside a swirling galaxy
glittering with newborn stars*
An Americanized version of The Host is just about the worst idea I can think of. I would like to see a better-looking monster, but Christ, the whole film is rooted in Asian culture, plus international fear of Asian population and disease.
They need to do a proper goddamn Silent Hill 1 (the game) remake, faithful to the tone and atmosphere of the original, not replacing it with "personalized fear" gimmicks and amorphous enemies.
The sound track of the SNES Jurassic Park game was, for some reason, absolutely fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/wat…
"And rappers are 'all about the Benjamins.'" Oh yeah. So relevant.
I don't disagree that the media are just as accountable for ignoring things like this, but in -this- particular interview, this particular journalist (who I don't know anything about) didn't. My feeling is that we can't do anything about the way they handle these situations besides celebrate when they finally stop…
Well, I think "we didn't care until enough other people cared" is probably closer to the truth, but he did manage to hold that back, at least. Either way, his response is beyond worthy of interrogation.
I'm not saying he had any information before the general public did, but the fact that he says they didn't care until the number of women hit "critical mass" is more than speaking inelegantly. He is saying outright that it didn't matter to them until the number of accusers was high enough.
